SIEGFRIED AND ROY TIGER ATTACK

Before 'The Hangover' gang got friendly with a tiger, Roy Horn of the magician duo Siegfried and Roy was attacked by a white tiger during a show. The tiger bit his neck and dragged him off the stage. Horn suffered critical injuries, causing the long-running show to close.







RICHARD BRANSON'S PANTS-SPLITTING BUNGEE JUMP

To promote his new airline Virgin America, billionaire Richard Branson decided to bungee jump from the top of the Palms Casino. But he hit a few bumps along the way and ripped his pants in the process. Well, that's embarrassing.




EVEL KNIEVEL'S WILD RIDE

The original daredevil Evel Knievel attempted to jump over the fountain at Caesars Palace in 1967. Although he made it over the fountain, he crashed on the safety ramp and was in a coma for a month. Despite the crash, the stunt made him a household name.

Vegas is full of pawn shops, but if you're looking to sell your false teeth, you're out of luck. It's against the law to pawn your dentures in Vegas. Why someone would even be interested in buying another person's dentures, I don't know.






PARIS HILTON BANNED

In 2010, party girl Paris Hilton was banned from two hotels owned by Wynn Resorts after getting arrested for cocaine possession. Fun fact: she claimed that she thought the drugs were gum.








ATOMIC BOMB SPECTACLE

During the '50s, the Nevada Proving Grounds were used to test nuclear bombs just 65 miles outside of Vegas. The explosions became a tourist attraction, with the city advertising the time of the detonations and the best places to view them.











BRITNEY SPEARS' QUICKIE WEDDING
Perhaps the first sign of Britney Spears' future troubles was when she married her childhood friend, Jason Alexander, at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Vegas in 2004. The marriage lasted only 55 hours, and was quickly annulled.




CASINO ROBBER TURNS HERSELF IN

Heather Tallchief, who stole an armored car filled with $2.5 million from the Vegas Strip in 1993, turned herself in after 12 years on the run. She said that she had been brainwashed by her boyfriend at the time into committing the crime. She was sentenced to five years in prison.
