Barcelona made a scintilating start to their Primera life under new coach Tito Vilanova as they dealt out a 5-1 thrashing to Real Sociedad at Camp Nou.
The Blaugrana went into the game knowing Real Madrid had already dropped points having drawn against Valencia earlier in the day, and they took full advantage of los Blancos' slip-up.
The victory was made all the sweeter by David Villa's goal scoring return from a long injury lay-off, as he netted Barca's fifth in the 84th minute.
